Bloons TD 6
Bloons TD 6 Overview
Are you looking for a highly addictive way to test your strategic thinking? Let me introduce you to Bloons TD 6. I have played this game for hundreds of hours across different maps, and it genuinely never gets old.
Bloons TD 6 is a massive hit in the tower defense genre. The overall goal is simple but challenging. You must stop the waves of enemy balloons from reaching the end of the dirt path. You do this by building an army of cute but deadly monkeys. The gameplay delivers the fast-paced thrill of top Action Games. At the same time, it gives you the creative freedom you usually only find in Sandbox Games. You can test hundreds of different tower setups, hit play, and watch the colorful chaos unfold on your screen.
How to play Bloons TD 6
Learn about gameplay
Starting out is very easy. The game relies completely on your mouse or touchscreen. You do not need to memorize a complicated set of keyboard shortcuts.
Just click and drag your chosen monkey or weapon from the top menu. Then, drop it onto the green grass right next to the track. Look at the bottom left corner of your screen. You will see a big green Play button. Click it to send in the first wave of balloons. You can also click the Auto button right above it to make the rounds start by themselves. In my experience, turning on Auto is great once you have a strong defense built up. But be careful! Things can get out of hand quickly if you stop paying attention.
Bloons TD 6 levels
The game offers plenty of maps to keep you busy. When you hit play, you get to choose your map and your difficulty level. The maps are broken down into categories. You can pick Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert.
If you are a new player, I highly recommend starting with Monkey Meadows or Park Path on the Beginner mode. These maps have lots of winding roads and simple loops. This gives your monkey towers way more time to pop the balloons before they escape.
What is the difference between balloons of different colors?
Not all balloons (known in the game as Bloons) are the same. This is exactly where the game gets tricky.
Red balloons are the slowest and weakest. One simple dart hit pops them completely. Blue balloons are a bit faster. When you pop a blue one, a red one drops out of it! As you survive more rounds, you will face green, yellow, and even black balloons. Each new color moves faster or carries extra layers inside. I always make sure to upgrade my monkeys early to handle these speedy threats.
Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Do not just place your monkeys randomly. Think about their attack range. A great strategy is to place your towers on sharp corners. For example, using a pink Tack Shooter inside a tight track circle is a perfect move. It shoots spikes in all directions, so it hits balloons from every single side! Also, remember to save your in-game money. Upgrading a few strong monkeys is often much better than having a map full of weak ones.
